Character Profiles
While there isn't much to show yet, FFXIV Players shows dedication to character profiles on the site. Based on the information from the Japanese impressions, we've added race, primary discipline, and the various equipment slots. We will be expanding on this as the game approaches release, but it helps to start somewhere.
If you have suggestions on what should be in the profile, just leave a comment. We're here to make a profile system people want to use and share with their friends.

Character Profile Form Suggestion.
Drop down menus for the character profiles would be ideal. It appears to have some sort of Ajax functionality? But it isn't working for me. Using Google Chrome browser.
I really think a drop down, select list menu would be far more convenient, especially if you aren't sure how to spell the name and don't want to look it up.
Could be something like Name: 1-12 Moon / The ____
I think they have titles like, the scholar, weaver, etc.
for the primary discipline thing that is.
Could use a Javascript to include a button to the right of the drop down menu (an info bubble type button) so that when the button is clicked, it checks which drop down is selected it shows a description.
I'm not even sure if primary discipline refers to what I think it does though. Which is why I think a drop down menu would be incredibly helpful.
But an info tool tip, div layer, or even a set aside div layer that has it's innerHTML changed upon clicking the info box would be pretty cool.
If there's any help needed for writing the code I'd be willing to help out somehow.
I think it's supposed to fill
I think it's supposed to fill in, based on what people have entered, but there aren't many users yet. I will look into if there is a way to populate it, perhaps with our wiki information.
The disciplines are the jobs for Final Fantasy XIV. We have them listed at http://www.ffxivplayers.com/wiki/Disciplines, but perhaps a pulldown would be a better idea.
I didn't think about the Deity selection. I should add that as well.
What do you have in mind for the tooltip box? I'm not quite sure what should be explained more.

Although I'm not familiar on FFXIV's policy on leaked alpha info. I simply haven't had time to familiarize myself with this site as a whole yet either.

Square Enix and the NDA
While Square Enix has put an NDA on the players in the alpha, it's a bit unclear about information that's leaked anyway, like the image you linked. We're running under the premise that we aren't doing anything to harm the game, but if Square Enix asked us to remove certain things, we would comply with their wishes.
We want what's best for the game, but we also have a community to build upon.
